CECA (North East) represents over 70 civil engineering
companies of all sizes in an
area that covers over 3 County Councils and 15 Unitary Authorities
from the
Scottish borders to the Dales and eastward, and is one of 8
independent
regional CECA companies and part of the sole representative body
for civil
engineering contractors throughout the country.
We provide information, advice and assistance on numerous
issues
identified by our members as vital in promoting and protecting
their commercial
interests.
CECA North East liaises with all bodies, departments,
authorities,
regional organisations and many other sectors of the industry that
relate to
the work of our members.
Our staff are available to answer queries from members on a
range
of matters including contractual and legal, procurement,
employment, taxation,
training, health & safety, environmental and
technical.
Presentations, seminars and open meetings are arranged on
a
regular basis for the membership to meet and discuss industry
issues with those
who both influence workload and the manner in which our Industry
operates.
The Region is managed day to day by staff with many
years
experience in trade associations and the industry with the full
backing of a
management board made up of senior members.
There is always an opportunity for members to become
fully
involved in the management structure and/or to represent the North
East by
participating in CECA committees. The committees consider and
formulate policy
and procedures on behalf of the membership.
Main Areas of Operation: (membership is not geographically
restricted)
Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Cleveland, County Durham and the
districts of
Hambledon, Richmondshire, Rydale and Scarborough of North
Yorkshire.
