Training Awards 2015

At its Annual Lunch in Torquay on 2 October, CECA (South West) was pleased to present awards to employees of member companies in recognition of their achievements in the industry.  This is the eleventh year that such awards have been made. The winners received an engraved cup, certificate and cheque for £500.  The winners were:- 

  • Most Promising Apprentice 2015 – Iris Umiten (HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd)
  • Most Promising Trainee Civil Engineer 2015 – Alexander Randell (BAM Nuttall Ltd)
  • Most Promising Trainee Quantity Surveyor 2015 – Matthew Davies (Kier Infrastructure & Overseas Ltd)
  • Outstanding Contribution/Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 – Mike Cox (Tarmac)

CECA (South West) was also pleased to make an award to Plymouth University undergraduate, Ryan Devlin, who was judged Best University Industrial Placement for his placement year with Dyer & Butler Ltd whilst studying for an MEng (Hons) Civil and Coastal Engineering Degree at the University of Plymouth.  CECA (South West) has a close working relationship with the University and this is the tenth year such an award has been made to a student who has completed their industrial placement with a member contractor.
