
CECA is celebrating the talented professionals shaping the future of civil engineering through its 30 Under 30 campaign.
William Jones is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Sub Agent with BAM, with experience delivering complex marine, flood defence, rail, highways and bridge infrastructure in the UK and overseas.
Since joining BAM in 2019, William has progressed from Trainee Engineer to Sub Agent. His career has included flood alleviation works in Leeds, marine piling in Antarctica, port development in the Falkland Islands and the award-winning refurbishment of the historic King Edward Bridge.
William is currently leading design management on the Gateshead Viaduct demolition project, helping to coordinate the complex sequence required to dismantle the post-tensioned structure safely and efficiently.
Having achieved ICE Chartership, he also supports colleagues working towards professional accreditation. His technical expertise, collaborative approach and enthusiasm for emerging technologies make him an excellent representative of civil engineering’s next generation.
