Join us for our brand new ONLINE interactive Mock Trial on 8th July 2026 delivered by Emma Bowens and her team.
This year we are bringing the courtroom directly to your office, making it easier than ever to take part in this interactive legal experience.
During this event, you will play the role of a jury member and decide the fate of the defendant in the dock. Will you find them guilty, or not guilty?
The case centres around a cable strike incident during excavation works. We learn that the deceased was under the influence of drugs when he was operating the digger. We visit the court case when the senior manager is being cross examined, and he has to explain his role in ensuring site safety and implementing the company’s drug and alcohol policy. The work didn’t go as planned, and the prosecution say more should have been done to prevent the incident from happening.
You will experience what it would be like to be a defendant or a witness in a real court hearing. Listen to the prosecution opening speech, consider the evidence presented in court, observe the cross-examination of the defendant and deliberate as a member of the jury. You will also see how the Judge approaches the sentencing of offenders in health and safety prosecutions.
