The session explores the responsibilities and duties of both the main contractor and sub-contractor following a fall from height incident. Members will be invited to participate in the session through interactive Slido voting technology as the trial unfolds.
The workshop will include:

- Exploration of legal arguments
- Discussion of criminal law outcomes and consequences
Learning outcomes will include:
- The importance of clearly defining and documenting roles and responsibilities between contracted parties
- Why effective communication is critical to accident prevention
- An overview of key Common Law and Statutory duties, plus disclosable documents relevant to each party
- The need to validate the operational effectiveness of Health & Safety risk management systems and controls
- A better understanding of civil claims and HSE investigations
- The real-world costs and consequences of getting it wrong
