Now in its third year, CECA NE’s Foundation Group completed the shortlist interviews for the CECA NE College Bursary Programme 2026.
CECA and its board, made up of individuals from a range of leading Regional and National Civil Engineering Contractors are committed to providing a College Bursary Programme to assist one student from local colleges who are currently studying towards a qualification in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering related discipline.
As the leading trade federation for Civil Engineering Contractors, this initiative is inspired by our commitment to two of our ‘Core Pillars’ of activity:
- Careers and Recruitment – “Creating a Talent Pipeline”
- Sustainability, Climate Change and Social Value – “Creating a Better Environment for All”
Derwentside College provided some great candidates for the programme which will see the winner presented with a £500 prize donated by CECA NE to recognise their hard work, effort and determination to progress into the industry. It is great to see the new and emerging talent which will help shape the future of Civil Engineering.
All students should be extremely proud of themselves as finalists in this year’s programme and of course a huge congratulations goes to our winner of the Derwentside College Bursary Programme 2026 which we will share following the Winners Presentation.
The winning students from 5 colleges will come together on 23rd April at Hartlepool College for a Winners Presentation with family, college representatives and members of CECA to celebrate their hard work and efforts throughout their studies.
Following the success of the Programme, we look forward to the 2027 Programme and hope to welcome further colleges into the programme to recognise even more emerging talent.
CECA would like to thank everyone involved in making this a success which includes Derwentside College, the CECA Foundations Group, the students and to Hartlepool College who are kindly hosting the Winners Presentation for 2026.
