JCB VIP Visitor Centre, Uttoxeter, ST14 5LS

CECA Midlands in conjunction with CECA North West, CECA Wales, Green Power Site Solutions and JCB in Uttoxeter, are holding a Safe Digging event on Thursday 7 May. Delegate registration starts at 9.30am with the presentations beginning promptly at 10.00am; the event will close at 2.45pm.

Around 60,000 service strikes happen each year. Important utility cables that provide homes and businesses with vital resources such as water, gas and electricity are hazards to our workforce and need to be managed carefully to avoid damage to the asset and personal injury.

The event will highlight issues around working on utility services and will include presentations, videos and examples of good practice. Presentations will be given by NUAR (National Underground Asset Register), Mike Legg – a personal story, Hills Safety Training, JCB, Green Power Site Solutions, Barhale and CSCS. There will also be the opportunity to visit the JCB museum and view a video of Vac-Ex equipment and to engage in networking discussions.

Places are limited, but are free of charge to CECA Members, cancellation or non-attendance will result in a £100 fee. Places are issued on a first come first served basis.  Each member company can have a maximum of 5 places.
