It was great to see so many members join us yesterday for the CECA Yorkshire & the Humber Management Committee meeting and AGM — including a number of new faces. At the Management Committee meeting, we were pleased to welcome Ben Goodwin from the CECA Policy team, who led a workshop on CECA’s policy positions and priorities for the next 12 months.
We also welcomed Sarah Wilson of Bevan Brittan LLP, who facilitated a really useful discussion on contractual and commercial trends across the industry, and how CECA can continue to support members in navigating challenging situations. At the AGM, we said a sad farewell to Eleanor Westwood of BAM UK & Ireland as she stepped down as Chair, and thanked her for her contribution and support during her time in the role.
We were also delighted to welcome Daniel Roche of M.B.Roche & Sons Ltd as the new Chair of CECA Yorkshire & the Humber.
Following the AGM, members also heard presentations from Ben Goodwin, Marc Spillman of Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), and Jemma Carmody, who provided updates on activity across the region.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussions.
