This is an initiative by Essex County Council lead by Michael Veasey – Sector Development and Partnership Manager. The idea is to set up a network of construction employers across Essex to meet on a quarterly basis to find out about topics they would like to find out about. So could be anything from new regulations or, in this case, as our first attempt is about procurement opportunities to get on to the Essex framework.
This particular event will be attended by Robert Halfron MP and Minister for Skills and Essex are targeting 100 construction employers. This is very much a collaborative event with FMB, CITB and Essex CC to promote construction opportunities across Essex. Highways will be attending this event hence why we think CECA members would be interested in attending. CITB, FMB, Essex CC apprenticeship will have stands at the event to share information advice and guidance to attendees. It is free to attend and free to have a stand.
