ICE South Branch & IStructE Shared Event – Infrastructure Solutions – M27 Romsey Road Bridge – Thursday 5th March 17.30 (refreshments) for 18.00

The bridge which carries the A3057 Romsey Road over the M27 is nearing the end of its life. Constructed in the 1970s the bridges bearings are failing, and it is unable to move as originally designed. Cracks are developing in most of the pre-stressed concrete beams that support this key strategic route which runs between Southampton and Portsmouth.

Osborne Trainee Engineer, Charlie White, showcases the latest innovation used in delivering infrastructure solutions during the replacement of the M27 Romsey Road Bridge and will touch on aspects of:

  • Virtual Reality
  • Building Information Modelling
  • STEM Programmes
  • Sustainable Development
  • Stakeholder Communications and Lean Processes
