The weather has long been a problem for Civil Engineers, and the climate crisis is set to make this impact worse.

New technology and forms of contracting are likely to be part of the solution, but what about a combination of both? Tech start-up EHAB, Law firm Clyde & Co and Main contractor BAM Nuttall are hosting an event to talk about the very first use of smart contracts in the construction industry, how they work and what’s next for the use of this technology in the near term. Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is new by many standards and particularly in construction, but it might just be a key piece of the puzzle to help unlock improved outcomes and lower rates of dispute.
