Featured Speakers

Tom Dickinson – Tom’s Talks

We are delighted to welcome Tom Dickinson, an inspiring voice in the mental health space.

Tom shares his deeply personal journey and speaks candidly about:

  • Breaking the stigma surrounding mental health
  • Recognising when someone may be struggling and how to support them
  • The impact of social media on mental wellbeing

With a growing audience of over 100,000 followers on Instagram and more than 860,000 YouTube views, Tom’s message is reaching and resonating with people across the UK and beyond.

Rob Muldoon – Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

We are also pleased to welcome Ron Muldoon, prominent mental health advocate, former bricklayer, and key figure on the #MakeItVisible frontline outreach team for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity.

Rob will be joining us to raise awareness of the free, confidential 24/7 support resources available through Lighthouse, including:

  • Emotional wellbeing support
  • Physical wellbeing assistance
  • Financial wellbeing guidance

Sarah & Lucy – Neighbourhood Network / Menopaus’ull Support Network

Sarah and Lucy will lead an important discussion focused on menopause awareness and supporting women in the workplace.

Current data suggests many women feel unsupported by employers and are often left unsure where to turn for advice and support during menopause. Sarah and Lucy are passionate about encouraging open conversation to help normalise what can still feel like a taboo subject.

Their session will explore:

  • Menopause awareness in the workplace
  • How employers and colleagues can offer meaningful support
  • Creating more inclusive and understanding working environments

Kate Walker – Diabetes Safety

We are also pleased to welcome Kate Walker from Diabetes Safety, who will present powerful new data highlighting the growing impact of diabetes across the construction industry.

Often described as a hidden epidemic, diabetes is affecting workplaces more than many realise — leaving companies exposed to:

  • Increased absenteeism
  • Higher risk of accidents
  • Greater potential for criminal and civil liability

With 700 people diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes every day in the UK, and one third of the population either at risk or already living with the condition, this is a critical issue for employers and employees alike.

Together, these sessions aim to encourage conversation, challenge stigma, and provide practical support to help create healthier workplaces across the construction industry.
