NEC Wales Conference – “Working Better Together”

The County Surveyors Society (CSS) Cymru, CECA Wales and GMH Planning will be hosting an all-Wales conference for public and private sector delegates on Wednesday 7th October 2026. It will be based on the NEC Form of Contract and on the theme of “Working Better Together”. The conference follows a similar pattern to highly successful annual conferences in London, Leeds and Glasgow and we are delighted to be able to host this first conference in Wales.
This is a great opportunity for construction clients, contractors and consultants to come together to learn more about the NEC Form of Contract and to better understand how it can help us all “Work Better Together”.
The conference will be opened by a Welsh Government Minister and/or Senior Civil Servant and will be followed by a series of presentations, panel discussions, best practice case studies and interactive sessions with experienced practitioners from across the construction industry.
Attendance at this exclusive conference is by invitation only and each member of CECA Wales is invited to nominate two officers to attend free of charge. It will be up to each member as to who they choose to attend but they are encouraged to support attendance by NEC practitioners and younger members of the workforce who will gain a valuable Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunity as well as extend their network of contacts across both public and private sectors.

The conference, which will be held at the Parkgate Hotel, Cardiff City Centre, will open for registration at 815am with the initial welcome to the conference starting at 915am. It will close at 4pm and will be followed by a short drinks reception for those who are able to stay a little longer.
We recognise that travel arrangements for those members based in the north of Wales could be difficult and, therefore, we are exploring reduced price arrangements for overnight accommodation for the night before the conference.
