Meet the winners of the CECA NW 2020 Awards

My thanks to everyone who submitted entries for the CECA NW 2020 Awards. And congratulations to all those that were highly commended: Eric Wright Civil Engineering for Northgate Steps, Chester; ACS Construction for construction of a GIS substation as part of the North Sea Link; I&H Brown for the Manston Lane link road project; Brendan Hitchcock of I&H Brown; and Ian Spurr.

The winners are Joe Fitzgibbon (Lifetime Achievement); Matt Groome (Young Professional of the Year); Colas (Social Value Award: for the Princess Road scheme, Manchester); Cubby Construction (Collaborative Partnership: for The Fratry project, Carlisle Cathedral); Eric Wright Civil Engineering (Project over £5 million: Pooley Bridge – the UK’s first stainless steel road bridge); Colin Briscoe Construction (Project £1-5 million: Heysham Port Brexit readiness works); and Southbay Civil Engineering (Project under £1 million: replacement of aids to navigation at New Brighton).
