David O’Neil, Supply Chain Director, Commercial and Procurement, National Highways has been leading the Roads Academy, working with industry as highways suppliers to develop National Highways’ current and future leaders across sector, and has recently announced the following:
“We have created immense value together since launch in April 2022 with loads of great benefits evident at both business and individual level. We welcomed over 224 learners from 55 organisations who embarked on building their skills, knowledge, capabilities, and networks that will enhance both the careers and improve the performance of their organisations. I would like to thank every organisation and individual that contributed to this huge success and encourage others to join our community.
As a result of our great work together we have managed to secure potential access to CITB funding to help part facilitate and support organisations on roads academy. I am pleased to share that if your organisation is a member of the CITB, you can apply now to fund learners from your organisation to participate and benefit from Roads Academy.
Funding is available to all CITB registered organisations and with three funds currently available. There will be a fund that’s right for your organisation. More information on Roads Academy and the different funds is available can be found here.
Worth noting that the first funding window closes 31 May 2023 so you will need to strike fast to benefit. Seize the opportunity!”
